everyone is entitled to their opinion and mine is that Yao Ming is definitely up there as one of the great modern centers. Don't know if he's a future hall of famer because he hasn't won any rings or mvps, but he definitely isn't the scrub you describe him to be. 07/08 season 22 ppg 10.8 rpg 2.3 apg (huge for a big man) 2.0 bpg and top it all off with a pretty 85% FT shooting.

Only difference with Zone-D is that you can have multiple bodies on one guy when he doesn't have the ball (illegal D back in Jordan's day), but plenty of times (in the video link under my last comment) they didn't call illegal D. And no hand-checking, defensive 3-sec....favor the offense and quick athletic players like Kobe should have no problem exploiting the "zone D". why is everyone comparing jordan to kobe? jordan came up in an era when he influenced basketball and made the game what it is today. Kobe grew up in that influence and came up stronger, the same is happening with Lebron James. The fact is you can't compare the two and say either one is better than the other. Wow Kobe and Tmac! Both are very amazing players. this was a very nice match up. They played head to head w/ each other on this series. But right NOW Kobe is playing in a higher level than Tmac both Offensively and defensively. Kobe now has higher free throw, field goal, 3-point and perimeter shooting percentage than tMac. Still both of them are really entertaining to watch.
