Who cares weather the cilp is good or bad. Isnt it the song that is important and the reason for your liking or disliking them? The film clip is irrevlant for if the lyrical content of a song is so weak as to rely on its video to convey the songs meaning or emotion than the song cant really be that gerat in the fist place. And i think that Bloc Party are very good at painting for us a lyrical picture we can all understand and interoperate. At the end isnt the film clip just an added bonus?

Tunng's version of the song The Pioneers has a more orderly tone compared to the Bloc Party version of the song. Bloc Parties had heavy focus on the vocals and in my taste therefore eliminating any chance of instrumental work to be fitted into the melody and rhythm past the singers gaping monotone depths some call a vocal. Tunng's how ever shows a more matured version that doesn't need to yell to get your attention. Repairing Eardrums, Summer Glau

Hmm, there seems to be an awfully big controversy over this song. In my opinion, Bloc Party's version of this song was unnecessarily annoying and childish. Tunng took it, wrote absolutely beautiful guitar tabs and vocal harmonies, and added a sense of calm and mystery to the song. It's fantastic.

What matters for me is living my life to its best. Its the only one I'm gonna get, might as well make it count. The only reason I got into this debate is because this conflict is poisoned by religious views of absolutes. It makes any peace a hell of alot harder to achieve when people think that the big man is on their side 100%. I, a child of the 1950's, had a father who loved this group. Ah the harmonies. He bought Cowboy Classics the 2-45 rpm record set. I listened to them into unplayability. Sorry Dad. Many memories watching the records spin on that gold & black RCA 45 player and hearing their sound on many, many Western movies. This great song is timeless. I'm almost 33, but I liked this when I heard it at the place for people with Alzheimer's Disease. These 2 guys in their 50s or 60s in cowboy clothes sang it. The others in our department liked it and some were younger than I. Maybe hearing Bing Crosby, Perry Como and Gene Autry around Christmastime as a child made my ears more tolerant of it, despite also enjoying '80s pop, rap and metal then. I still like ballads from the pop singers a lot--maybe more than the loud, fast ones. Unsure.

You can't compare these musicians with each other, they are from a completely different era. Roine Stolt begun to play in the 70's with bands like Genesis, Yes and so on. These musicians are a so much more dynamic in their style of playing. Dream Theater is a technical band, they are playing fast without the dynamic, their sound image is very rough and hard. I prefer to listen to the bands from the 70's. This is MY opinion though.

Wasim Akram for me atleast was the greatest fast bowler ever. Now that I can look at the matches of the past objectively, even being an Indian does not stop me from admiring his amazing genius. Does anyone else see parallels between Waqar and Wasim's relationship compared with that of Shoaib and Asif? Is it just a trait of great Pakistani pacers not to get on, or to be involved in some scandal or other? Don't mis-interpret me, I LOVE pakistan cricket, and bowling is one of our greatest assets, I mean Wasim exemplifies this statement, however, I regret that the great fast bowlers have personality clashes which reduces their careers and eventually their performance.
