It's one of those whole "knowing" about it things. I have seen it happen in live blitz games, especially quick time formats. All depends on the experience of the player. I am of the opinion that it's good to cover the basics, simply because what's basic to someone is totally new to another person. I remember when I first started chess that something like this would not be obvious, and I have no problems admitting that. =)

Sorry but I don't believe that anyone even slightly reasonable at chess would play fxe after 2...Bc5, even in one-minute game. As soon as I touch f pawn in uncastled position, the very first thing that flashes my brain is h4-e1 diagonal (or h5-e8 from black side).

In any event...people who play the King's Gambit knows better than to capture the e5 pawn. For one thing...you have doubled pawns on the e-file. Also...by playing the king's gambit you weaken the diagonal leading to the king. the capture of the pawn in this context...so early in the game is ill advised.

The analysis programs (both free and retail) have line guages and if the number is + it's good for white and if it's - it's good for black. 1 point either way is the equivalent of a "pawn" in material.

I made some traps in Garry's Mod. I began thinking of making traps when some idiots began touching and destroying my things in multiplayer, though these was done in singleplayer. All of them are original.. if any of them exists already, I have never seen them.

The Buttons simply need to be binded to the numpad key that you select them for. If you select "1" on the button creation menu and make the button, pressing that button will trigger that number. so if you binded some dynamite nearby to 1, then..well...yeah. The Prop spawner works in the same way. bind it to a numpad key and press that button to spawn the prop.

Actually, it is also a valid way to give a handicap to a lessor player. That's how Amer helped me rain for a while. He would, in essense be giving me a N without me thinking he had given me anything! 'Course, how good was he? When I ever bragged about how it was a major goof? He'de make me play it to show him, and then he'de trounce me bad. You see, the dicrepency in the scores is that danged pawn. Somehow he would run an aggressive pawn rush center, new Q and boom! He was good.

the funnest one i like to play that nobody expects for black is 1.e4 e5 2. Nf3 Qe7!? White will usually respond with Bc4 ala giouco piano and you can then play Qc5, attacking the unsupported bishop. Be careful not to let your queen get trapped, and just develop normally after

In chinese chess there are pieces called war elephants and ministers. If you ever saw chinese chess the pieces are usually circle in shape with chinese characters. elephants and ministers are homophones if you were to say it in chinese. and instead of moving multiple diagonal squares, elephants and ministers move only 2 points diagonal. in the middle of the board is a river which only a certain amount of pieces can cross it. unfortunately these pieces cant cross the river and they suck!

It's a great try for blitz games. As for long time control tournament games, I don't think very many traps would work - but it doesn't hurt to know them in case the opportunity presents itself. Knowing a variety of traps is great for blitz though - no doubt about it.

That's true about getting away with more things in these cartoons. Words like Hell and damn were practically off-limits in regular cartoons and feature films back then. SNAFU cartoons weren't shown to the general public, and they were aimed at adult males in the service, so there would naturally be more sex and foul language in these. The nuclear powered nimitz class USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier had an active day on my visit hundreds of miles off the southern Californian coast.
This footage is of daytime landings and some missed "traps".
There is a 5 cables on the deck that the aircraft's hook tries to grab. Most pilots aim #3 cable.

FYI the S3 viking was designed to put a buoy in the water and circle above a small area above it, a flight characteristic IIRC called "loiter" and thus its stall speed was was ridiculously low, something like 55 knots? Coolest thing ever on a carrier was the C130 tests on the Forrestal around 1960 or so. No arresting gear, no catapults and with a sizable load had hundreds of feet left on either end. But only about ten feet from wingtip to island.

As a Machinist Mate who ran the evaps, I'll tell you how it got in... You're evaporating seawater... and when they pump bilges in the firerooms or enginerooms ahead of the suction for the evaps, well, the first thing to evaporate is the fuel. It probably was Navy distillate, the fuel for the boilers, not JP5. Nuke carriers wouldn't have this problem.
