I had pre paid legal benefits and it was bullshit. All those lazy ass attorneys wanted to do was write letters. I got a real attorney and actually won my case. Pre paid legal wanted to sit and write bullshit letters. I am not a simpleton, but I guess I was taken by the sales pitch.

Sorry to that they quit. But you gotta take the bad ones with the good ones. Some people get into it thinking that its some type of get rich quick business. You just have to 1.pick the right people to become a part of your team 2.Get them going to the big events and commit to the CFT program 3. Keep marketing and recruiting. Well, I'm still hanging in there but due to my associates leaving my team and quitting altogether....I now owe PPL 179 dollars. Is it my fault that they don't have the mindset like me? Associates are INDEPENDENT Associates. I'm not a business lawyer, but that makes us like freelancers which are sole proprietors which is the simplest form of business ownerships. We can also incorporate and have different names for our business but our ability to market PPL is subject to our agreement with the company.The levels of associates with the company determine our commission and does not make us employees. OMG. This is exactly why people need PPL. Because people lik Phooey here become lawyers and then have relatives and friends they give advice to. Unfortunately Phooey isn't specialized in all areas of law, probably just one like most lawyers. PPL has different lawyers who specialize in different areas that can give you correct information for your problem in your state. I've posted another responses but I don't know where they went.This will be my last lesson because I have a business 2 tend to.

The point about quitting is that they make it difficult enough to discourage people from making the attempt to quit, thereby giving the company more time to keep taking money out of people's accounts, and hopefully, from the MLMs' point of view, the people who try to quit would just give up trying.

I told my Business Law professor about the small print that points out that the real contract is sent in the mail about two weeks later. She laughed. Such a contract would not be enforceable in court. There's an address on ALL the stuff they send you. You can't quit all willie-nilly - but you can quit. ALL contracts have a bunch of small print.I know hundreds of associates and none of them that I know looked at the actual contract and was like - forget it. As far as the recruitment model, what you said is poetic, but not true. It works. Some people just don't work it very well or are just quiters, U know what happens to quiters. Plus, you can't just quit anytime unless you do it their way, which involves calling them, or is it writing them, for a form they send you in the mail that officially severs your relationship with the company, if they choose to send it, giving them enough time to take out more and more money from your account for as long as it takes you to wait for the form to arrive before you can fill it out and mail it back to them. As far as not reading the brochure is concerned, it takes more than reading an ad pamphlet to learn something about any company. They showed me the application for their service, and I noticed that it has some fine print that states that the real contract is sent in the mail about two weeks after one signs the application, which binds the person to the unseen contract, making it just a bit difficult for people to understand what their signing when they sign it.

It is not their own business. They carry the company name, and that name is not one the associate came up with. The company also promotes getting rich at their meetings by discussing the rings and jackets and whatever other marks of distinction they award for getting rich. I know. Prepaid legal is NOT a scam. I've been in the business for two years and have benefited from the service and from being an associate. The problem that can arise though is when people get the membership and don't understand what their getting because they don't bother just to read the small brochure.
