any 147 is awesome I don't think you can call a maximum break flukey because of 1 shot out of 36, that's like saying that a 300 is flukey in bowling if every strike isn't millimeter perfect, Cliff Thorburn's 147 in the Crucible started with a fluke red and he went on to make a max break and people still talk about that today even though it was like 30 years ago. I say well done to anyone getting a 147 (or 155...) regardless of the odd fluke

all 147s require a combination of skill and luck. first of all the balls have to be in a suitable position to stay on the black, and then the chances of being able to pot every ball without a miss is unlikely. especially in a tournament when your main aim will be to win the match.

ohh.. they changed it. Around three month ago, the accidently aid by the ref (red for brown.. you know it) stood there. But can't you imagine although, that with this aid a "very theoretic and possible" (by snookaus) is possible?? That probably never will happen, OK. basically...the only possible way for a BREAK of more than 147......is if the oncoming player is granted a free ball and plays the black(or anything else)as the colour....lets say u break off n u foul somehow(lets say u touch another ball with yr hand)and the oncoming player cannot hit a red directly....then he is granted a free ball and gets the option to pot a colour instead of a red(1point)after potting the free ball ..the player then plays the normal game with the 15 reds and remaining clrs

ive watched the video, but if you think about to get a 155 you have to pot a colur ball as a red correct? therefore if you pot the brown first as a red that will be the only ball potted and therefor how can the ref get confused on which ball hes respotting if there is only 1 ball potted, its imposible to replace a brown ball if there is no other ball potted. thank you!

If you guys would get off of a bar box or an 8' pool hall table and get on a true snooker table with simonis felt, you might realize how tough these shots are. How very rude, what's with all this racism towards the Chinese commentators? That just shows that Snooker is becoming more and more popular in China. If you don't like the commentary in Chinese just focus hard on the English commentary and observe the cue action, but please don't spoil it for everyone else.
