I have found in my experience, student essays are just cleaner and less confusing if they separate each of their ideas into its own sentence. Of course, if you are asked to write 4 supporting-paragraphs in your essay you must include 4 supporting paragraph topics in the outline sentence of your introduction paragraph. My question to you is: would you really want to group an outline sentence containing 4 supporting essay topics with your thesis? This sentence would be extremely long!
